1 Overview & Commitment

Welcome to Handwriting to Text AI (Package: com.anzarul.handwritingtotextai), developed and operated by Multiclash Labs ("we", "us", or "our").

We believe your personal documents, study notes, and handwriting belong solely to you. This Privacy Policy details our transparent data practices, dual-engine OCR architecture, and full compliance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and international data privacy regulations.

2 Information Handled by the Application

Our application processes information strictly to deliver handwriting recognition, perspective document cropping, and document management utilities:

A. On-Device Local Storage (Never Uploaded or Sold)

• Local Images & Scanned Pages: High-resolution document captures and perspective-corrected crops are saved exclusively in your device's private sandboxed internal app storage (/data/user/0/com.anzarul.handwritingtotextai/).
• Extracted Transcriptions: Transcribed text records and word count statistics are saved into your private on-device SQLite database (handwriting_scanner.db).
• Batch Folders & Collections: Multi-page documents and custom groupings remain 100% local on your phone.
• A4 Vector PDF Exports: When you generate a multi-page PDF, it is stored in your private app directory and only transferred when you explicitly choose to share it via the Android system share sheet.

B. OCR Text Recognition, AI Post-Processing & Ephemeral Cloud Processing

• Cloud AI Vision OCR & Language Tools (Google Gemini API): When online, photos of handwritten notes and requested text snippets are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS directly to Google's official Gemini Generative Language API solely to transcribe text, clean formatting, translate between Hindi and English, generate 5-point summaries, or parse tabular data into CSV. All text and image payloads are processed ephemerally in volatile memory (RAM) and are never retained, logged, or stored on our servers.
• Offline On-Device OCR (Google ML Kit): When offline or in airplane mode, handwriting recognition runs 100% locally on your device's CPU/GPU using Google ML Kit with our Spatial Line Reconstruction algorithm without any internet connection.
• On-Device Text-to-Speech: Voice playback uses your Android device's native built-in TextToSpeech engine locally. No audio or text is sent to third-party audio servers.
• No Proprietary Middleman Servers: Multiclash Labs does not run intermediary proxy servers that capture, log, or harvest your images, texts, or personal document contents.

4 Third-Party Services, Analytics & Advertising

Handwriting to Text AI is a free application supported by non-intrusive advertisements and app diagnostics. We partner with industry-standard, privacy-compliant providers:

A. Advertising Partners (Google AdMob & Unity Ads)

We display interstitial and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob and Unity Ads. These advertising networks may collect pseudonymous device information to deliver relevant ads and prevent fraud:

• Google Advertising ID (AAID / GAID) for ad personalization and frequency capping (you can reset or opt out of personalized ads anytime in Android Settings).
• Device metadata (device model, operating system version, carrier).
• General coarse location derived from IP address.
• Ad interaction and diagnostic metrics (ad impressions, video completion rate, clicks).

B. Application Analytics & Diagnostics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze anonymous application stability, crashes, and performance metrics (e.g. screen navigation events and scan completion rates). Firebase does not collect any personally identifiable information, camera photos, or document text.

5 Data Storage, Retention & Deletion

• Local Sandboxing: All scanned notes, cropped images, extracted text records, and batch folders reside strictly on your device in sandboxed storage.
• User-Initiated Deletion: You can delete any individual document, page, or trash item at any time within the application.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the application or clearing the application's storage via Android Settings permanently and irrevocably deletes all documents, database entries, and cached files from your phone.

6 Children's Privacy

Our application is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal identification data from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take prompt corrective action.

7 Security Architecture

Your private documents and notes are protected by Android's application sandboxing architecture. All external network communications (Google AdMob advertisements and Google Gemini Cloud AI OCR requests) are encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Images transmitted for cloud OCR are processed in volatile memory only and are never retained on our servers.

8 Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in application features or regulatory requirements. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
